How to get the iron to steam? - Place the iron in the vertical position, turn the temperature dial to MAX temperature and wait for it to heat up fully until the control light is off. Hold the iron in the horizontal position and press the steam knob to produce steam. When placed vertically, the iron will automatically stop steaming.
